HollywoodNews.com: Sylvester Stallone tried out to be Han Solo in 1975 for “Star Wars,” but his audition didn’t go down so well with director George Lucas.
The actor spoke about his audition recently in an online chat with fans. The Sun was reading the transcript.
Said Stallone on his audition, “It didn’t meet with much approval. When I stood in front of George Lucas he didn’t look at me once, obviously being very shy.
“Then I said, ‘Well obviously I’m not the right type’. But it all worked out for the best since I don’t look good in Spandex holding a ray gun.”
No bother, Stallone exploded in “Rocky” merely months later. And the rest is history.
